The TV has an around the clock channel playing the Great Wolf cartoon show which makes the entire facility seem a lot classier. It wasn't too comfortable but after a long day of swimming, it absolutely does the trick. Our room had one queen bed and a foldout couch. Inside the waterpark there wre snacks for all ages and beverages for young and old alike. There is also an ice cream place and a carryout pizza restaurant on the 1st floor. For breakfast, the prices are comparable and a good option if you are planning to make a day on site. While I didn't go to the official restaurant, there is a Dunkin' on the second floor. The food amenities, however, are scattered throughout. Besides the enchanted wand store, there is a legitimate gift shop. I didn't get a chance to try out the bowling alley but it is shorter with smaller balls. There is an arcade similar to Chuck E Cheese or Dave and Busters where you get tickets. They have an enchanted forest on the third floor where you can by a wand and things will turn on when you wave it. As far as non-waterpark amenities, there is a whole host of activities in the main area including a wizard quest and a Singalong with characters under their big clock. If you really want scary, ride it at night and the green one will be pitch dark. Alberta falls has two slides and the line moves quicker with them. The rapids ride has a big tube made for three. The most notable parts of all though are the three big slides. The lazy river is nice and while the occasional skinned knee might be had, it is wide enough to accommodate a lot of guests. Their is a hot tub for all and a whirlpool just for adults. There is a look that is about four feet deep that have basketball hoops. There is a bigger play structure with a pair of slides that don't use an inflatable tube. There is a section for little kids with a few slides and some water table setups. The actual indoor waterpark is really good. It looked like they were still cleaning some of the nearby rooms. I waited until 4:15 and never heard anything until I went to the desk and asked. If it is a busy day, stay by check in and ask. If you arrive before check in time, they will promise to have your room ready by 4:00 and they will text you when it is ready. Check in is fairly easy and comes with a pair of wolf ears. Hopefully the weather cooperates for you on the trip up. The Great Wolf Lodge is a nice spot to spend a two day vacation in northern Michigan. To anyone who isn't able to and made to feel the way he made us feel, is not a company I'd want to support. And some kids may not be able to afford to go to the park without "free" passes. I hope someone can teach Bernard that being friendly and welcoming to everyone really makes a difference. Just because we were not "paying" guests THIS time, doesn't mean we haven't been MANY times before. Because we are locals and were just going swimming we had pajamas on (since it was already 6 and would be going to bed after we got home) I felt his dismissive attitude and the eye rolling really did impact me on if I want to spend money here in the future. (like we were wasting our and his time by going) We purchased the locker and then enjoyed our time. Because he told us the park was only open for another 2 hours after rolling his eyes at us. Thankfully I did bring one with me, but I felt, (and this is just my opinion) that he did it purposefully. Whatever it takes right? But he could have told me I needed a card as well. I get back and he then informs us we need to purchase a locker. Based on his attitude I had a feeling he might try to make things difficult. Off I went, and thankfully grabbed my credit card just in case. Not a problem, just would take a few minutes for me to get there and back. Parking near the entrance is now only available for a fee so we were parked all the way near the back. Since we were just using the park for maybe 45 min as my daughter is 1, I hadn't brought anything in with us. Bernard directed us to the side of the desk where he needed an ID. Upon walking in and showing the gentleman behind the desk our passes, he rolled his eyes and acted as if we were inconveniencing him. My family and I stay at GWL 3-4 times a year but this time we had a "free" pass for donating to Toys for Tots.
